We were not supposed to meet, but fate made its adjustments. Geolocation and strange coincidences have played a key role in our story.

Julia, being a native of the Zaporizhzhya region, rarely visited Kyiv, but it was on December 27, 2016 that she decided to celebrate New Year with her friend.

I, being a native of Kiev, quite rarely visited the left bank of Kyiv, namely, Darnitsa, where my future wife had come to celebrate New Year.

That fateful day, I came to buy some spare parts for his car. And all would have been very different if the seller of these parts, was not late. Sitting in the car and not knowing what to do, I decided to kill some time, and turned my attantion to Tinder.

At this time, a few kilometers away from me, that Julia decided to do the same. A few minutes later, the event that led to the wedding had occurred. Namely, Julia and I liked each other on Tinder. A few days later, bored and being alone without a couple on New Year’s Eve, I decided to greet my future wife with new year wishes. One message with the words «Happy New Year» started the communication, which continues till today.

About a month passed and we finally met. It was difficult to adjust the schedules and meet again in Kiev, but everything worked out.

January 27, 2017 we finally met. Our first date was very easy and stressless. At the end of the evening, each of us had a very warm feeling, we felt like we had met an old friend whom we had known our entire lives. It was after this evening that we realized we were going to be together.

Next we were faced with the most important test, the distance between Kiev and Zaporizhzhya. We lived in different cities for over a year and saw each other several times a month. A year later, Julia transferred to Kiev, to get her masters and we began to live together.

A year later we went on our first motorcycle trip, for over a week we rode the motorcycle through the Austrian Alps. It was in the alps, where the most important event of our lives occurred.

I decided to lean on my knee, while the sun was setting over the Austrian alps, and finally propose to Yulia. But fate had other plan.

While stopping for lunch in a small village, in the middle of the mountains, one of the bags accidentally dropped to the ground, a ring rolled out and straight towards Julia’s feet. I kept my act together and said: «Damn, did you see the ring?» but quickly added «Will you marry me?». A quick response followed from Yulia which echoed over the mountains: «Yeeeeessss!»
